For the first time ever there might be a medical treatment for stuttering. At least three million americans stutter. It can be a problem that affects self esteem and almost every other aspect of a person’s life. Doctors always thought that stuttering was caused by stress and the problem area was in the vocal cords. But now doctors think stuttering may actually be caused by a defect in the brain and now there’s a medication that appears to a solution for some.
